DIY Marble Phone Charger | Common Sparrows
This is an old post archived from Exodus Treasures.

I decided to hop on the marble everything train.

Materials

  • Contact Paper

  • Phone Charger

  • Nail Polish

  • Tub

  • Tape Measure

  • Scissors

Step One

Measure the circumference and the height of your charger. (My circumference was four and a half inches and my height was one and a half inches.)

Step Two

On the back of the contact paper with the dimensions from step one, draw a box. (My box was four and a half by one and a half.) Optional: if you want to cover the side where the usb cord plugs in, then trace that side somewhere along the width of your box. In the end I didn’t want mine to cover that side, but you might like it.

Step Three

Fill the container (that you don’t mind ruining) with water and drop a couple of drops of nail polish into the water. some may sink to the bottom, so drop until it floats. then swirl the nail polish around in the water (I used a toothpick).

Step Four

Place the contact paper face down into the water, pull it out, and let it dry.

Step Five

Cut out the template, peel off the back, and stick it to your charger.
